Third Labour member embroiled in antisemitism row

Sky News has been told a third Labour member was present at a meeting of activists in which antisemitic comments were made.

The remarks at the gathering by Azhar Ali led to Labour withdrawing support for him in the upcoming Rochdale byelection.

Now it's emerged that Hyndburn councillor Munsif Dad was also present at the meeting, where Mr Ali said Israel planned to "get rid of [Palestinians] from Gaza" and "grab" some of the land.

Former Labour MP for Hyndburn, Graham Jones - who is seeking to stand for the seat again at the next election - was suspended after allegedly referring to "f***ing Israel" at the same gathering, and saying UK citizens who volunteer to fight for the Israeli Defence Forces "should be locked up".
