Sir Keir Starmer spoke to Kay Burley about the Labour Party conference in Liverpool where, as he began his keynote speech, a protester covered him in glitter.

The Labour leader said "I was not going to let that idiot deflect me", adding that the interruption could have been a lot worse.

Commenting on the Israel-Hamas war, he said Hamas's actions have done "nothing for the Palestinians", and that "Israel has every right to defend herself."
