The Walt Disney Company is marking its 100th anniversary with new experiences, including an all new attraction called “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” and two nighttime spectaculars.

“World of Color – ONE” at Disney’s California Adventure Park and “Wonderous Journeys” at Disneyland Park both celebrate the Walt Disney legacy through displays featuring beloved characters, music and film.

The Walt Disney Company was founded in October 1923 by Walt Disney and his brother Roy in Hollywood, Calif. Now one of the largest media companies in the world, the journey began with pencil cartoon drawings on paper, turned into animation.

In 1928, the landmark animated short film, "Steamboat Willie," introduced Mickey and Minnie Mouse to the world.
