Accused and then dubiously convicted of spying, what Australian academic Kylie Moore-Gilbert endured, locked up in brutal Iranian prisons for more than two years, would have broken most people. It wasn't just the torment of being in solitary confinement for most of that time, she also withstood relentless interrogations as well as other extreme psychological torture. But worst of all, and the likely reason she remained imprisoned for so long, is bizarre: she says one of her captors fell for her, an attraction that plunged Kylie into an inescapably dangerous love triangle.
