Texas laws targeting LGBTQ2 communities come into effect

Less than two months after an advocacy organization in the U.S. declared a state of emergency for 2SLGBTQ2 Americans, another Republican legislature has moved forward with a series of laws targeting the community.

Deep in the heart of America's most populous Republican state, four bills were enacted on Friday, which critics argue strip away the rights of some residents

Texas lawmakers say it's an attempt to protect children, which is an argument that's been made by other states as well.

As Reggie Cecchini explains, there are groups raising concerns about the well-being of those directly impacted by these rules.
