Texas Governor: 'Uniting the community' after shooting rampage

Governor Greg Abbott tells NRA members meeting in Texas that the killing of 19 children by Salvador Ramos will not stop the community reuniting, after he had "sought to divide it".

He made no mention of reforming any laws around the availability of deadly weapons in America, or proposing any measures that might halt the nation's seemingly never-ending carnage.

He said that the was "working the heal the broken hearted", and ended by calling for the blessings of God.
