Polls have opened in Tanzania's presidential and parliamentary elections.
President John Magufuli is seeking a second term but his strongest challenge comes from his main opponent Tundu Lissu.
Voting has been marred with violence in the run-up to the election day on semi-autonomous islands of Zanzibar.
