Health authorities in Chennai are proud as India crossed the one billion doses mark today. They say it's a team work by doctors, nurses and health workers. Tamil Nadu which witnessed vaccine hesitancy is catching up now. Though 68 per cent of the eligible population in the state has taken the first dose, only 25 per cent have taken the second dose. The state government has now planned for a mega vaccination campaign on Saturday, to focus on the second dose.
