Tamil Nadu Focuses on Second Dose as India Crosses A Billion Doses

Health authorities in Chennai are proud as India crossed the one-billion doses mark today. They say it's a team work by doctors, nurses and health workers. Tamil Nadu which witnessed vaccine hesitancy is catching up now. Though 68% of the state’s eligible population has taken the first dose, only 25% have taken the second. The state government has planned a mega vaccination campaign on Saturday to focus on administering the second dose. NDTV’s Sam Daniel spoke to health officials from the Greater Chennai Corporation.
