School is a place for children to learn, to socialise, to develop, and experts warn that even a few missed days can affect the achievement and wellbeing of our tamariki.
That makes this next statistic all the more shocking: under half of students in Aotearoa regularly attended class at the end of last year and thousands aren’t going to school at all.
