Starmer: Diane Abbott is free to stand as a Labour candidate

Diane Abbott will be allowed to stand as a Labour candidate in the upcoming election.

Britain's first black female MP had said earlier this week she was being prevented from standing in the Hackney North and Stoke Newington constituency.

However, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has now said she is "free" to stand.
