Northern lights were dancing in the skies over the snowy forests and rivers of Finnish Lapland overnight from Monday into Tuesday.
The local photographer who captured the lights in freezing temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius, said they appeared at around 21:00 local time on Monday and only faded after 05:00 local time on Tuesday.
He said the most breathtaking moment happened around midnight when he was treated to a magnificent display of the lights, also known as aurora borealis, in the skies for half an hour.
