Many people in Newfoundland and Labrador are preparing to leave as soon as possible, as changing winds could further fuel the province's swelling wildfire crisis.

Warnings from officials in Grand Falls-Windsor and nearby communities have become stronger. Its mayor wants everyone to pack a so-called "go bag" full of essentials, and be ready to leave with an hour's notice.
