An inquiry into the treatment of people in Greater Manchester Police custody is due to be published on 18 July.

It was launched following a Sky News investigation into how women were being inappropriately strip searched by officers but the Baird Inquiry has been expanded to also examine the experiences of some men.

One of them, Mark Dove, has spoken to Sky News ahead of publication.

He believes he was unlawfully arrested several times and subjected to humiliating strip searches. In one he was left naked in his cell for hours – and could only keep warm using hot water from the tap.
