Those who are planning on hitting the slopes in British Columbia's Whistler Blackcomb resort had better be prepared to open their wallets.

Once the 2023 season begins, single-day lift tickets at the popular ski hill will be $299 — which, according to the tourist destination, is considered a result of inflation, resort investments and growing demand.

But as Global's Alissa Thibault reports, locals say they're being priced out of their backyard mountain.
