Sikhs living in Punjab say support for Khalistan movement very low

Worry is growing in India’s Punjab region about the country's rising tensions with Canada, and many in the state's Sikh community tell CBC News that support for the Khalistan Independence Movement is very low. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Canada is pursuing 'credible allegations' linking Indian government agents to the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen who was campaigning for an independent Sikh state.
