An independent public inquiry has been set up to examine the events surrounding the death of Sheku Bayoh, the subsequent investigation and whether race was a factor.

The 31-year-old died on 3 May 2015 after an incident in the street in Kirkcaldy involving officers of Police Scotland.

Retired assistant chief constable Ruaraidh Nicolson will give evidence in this sesion.
