A man from Oakville, Ontario who became homeless after having his leg amputated is still living in his van, without a home, after 238 days.

Thomas Mohr, a former carpenter had to stop working earlier this year after losing his leg to health complications. Without work, Mohr had no income, leaving him unable to afford a place to live.

Though Mohr's story caught the attention of many after being covered by Global News in June, he has been left, for the most part, without aid. Since then, Halton Regional Police and local social workers approached Mohr asking if they could help him out by taking him to a hotel nearby.

Mohr said they dropped him off, told him his van would be towed to an undisclosed location and left.

He believes the authorities simply wanted him off the street. Global’s Brittany Rosen has the latest.
