Senegal political crisis: Authorities ban protest march and cut internet

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has raised "serious concerns" about the current political situation in Senegal, and is urging President Macky Sall to restore the electoral calendar. Earlier this month Sall postponed upcoming elections, sparking widespread unrest and violent confrontations between police and protesters. Opposition leaders accuse him of trying to extend his Presidency.
