Rwanda bill: Tories united 'to stop the boats', says Home Secretary James Cleverly

Home Secretary James Cleverly has said it is "absolutely wrong" that many Tories do not want the Rwanda bill to work, saying: "The Conservative Party is united on the desire to get this right and to stop the boats."

Mr Cleverly was also asked about Graham Stuart, the climate minister who was flown back from Dubai to vote in the second reading of the Rwanda legislation yesterday. He defended the 6,313-mile round trip, saying ministers "have to do more than one thing at a time - that's what government's all about."
