Russians paid tribute to the victims of a school shooting in the city of Kazan on Tuesday after nine people, including seven children, were killed after a 19-year-old gunman opened fire.
The incident was Russia's deadliest school shooting since 2018 when a student at a college in Russian-annexed Crimea killed 20 people before turning his gun on himself.
Russian parliament's upper house speaker Valentina Matviyenko attended a makeshift memorial in Moscow and said that the school security in the country must be reinforced.
