Russian state-linked TikToks are surging in the lead-up to the U.S. election, according to a new report — and it warns the posts could impact voters’ willingness to take action.
The report found the average number of posts per day from each Russian-backed account doubled from March? 2022 to March of this year, rising from about three to six.
Engagement has also skyrocketed, rising from three million per day on average in 2022 to 13 million per day this year.
With Americans heading to the polls this November, some experts are concerned the posts focus on topics that could further divide the country.
