Dozens of destroyed Russian tanks were on display in Kyiv on Monday as Ukraine nears the six-month mark since Russia invaded the country.
Although public celebrations have been banned due to a heightened threat of Russian attack, residents in the capital descended on Kyiv’s main street Khreshchatyk to look at the display of weaponry destroyed after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
Ukraine is also marking this week the anniversary of its August 24, 1991 independence from Russian-dominated Soviet rule.
