Ukraine lined up the burnt-out captured Russian tanks and military equipment along the capital Kyiv's central street on Monday as Ukrainians prepare to mark their second wartime Independence Day this week.
Residents in central Kyiv said they liked the display of wrecked Russian hardware which they hoped will raise the fighting spirit of Ukrainians. But some saw them as a painful reminder of the horror of war.
Natalia Koval said, "What I am seeing here is sheer horror, it is awful, it is what kills people."
