Russia-appointed officials in Kherson and Crimea say a Ukrainian missile has hit a bridge connecting the two regions.
The Chonhar bridge is known as the “gate to Crimea” that Russia annexed in 2014. Crimea’s governor suggested the bridge was struck by British Storm Shadow missiles on Tuesday.
Russia’s defence minister said the Ukrainian forces were planning to attack Crimea with NATO’s supplied weapons.

Al Jazeera's Nadim Baba reports.
