Russian forces have shelled the outskirts of Kyiv and the besieged northern city of Chernihiv, just a day after agreeing to reduce military activities in the towns at a new round of talks on Ukraine's war. The increased attack comes after Russia and Ukraine held their first face-to-face peace talks in almost three weeks at a palace in Istanbul, during which Russia's defence ministry announced that operations in the region would be curtailed "to strengthen mutual trust." However, now the Russia is taking step back in Kyiv.
