On Friday, a rocket strike hit an apartment building in Tel Aviv and wounded at least four people, according to Deputy Commander for Tel Aviv District Homefront Command Dany Geva. He described two of the wounded as having sustained "medium range" injuries, and the other two as "light" injuries.
“The reason I think we don't have any casualties, to the best of my understanding of the scenario, is because people acted according to the instructions. They listened to the sirens or the application,” Geva said, adding that the rocket hit the top floor and caused a fire on the third floor.
Geva said that the rocket was fired from Gaza and that it was the only one to hit a building in Tel Aviv in the past 24 hours.
More than 1,400 people were slain in Israel during Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, according to the Israeli government, and at least 229 hostages were taken into Gaza. Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Thursday that the Palestinian death toll in Gaza has soared past 7,300, releasing a detailed list of names and identification numbers of those killed.
