The number of migrants and refugees trying to cross the English Channel from France to the United Kingdom by boat is rising.
Officials on both sides of the sea believe hundreds made the crossing in the past few days. Those who make the risky journey across say they are looking for a better life and, despite the danger, they have no choice but to try.
