The increasing stress on Canadian families' budgets has recently eased slightly.

Statistics Canada says the inflation rate cooled to seven per cent in August, down from a high of 8.1 per cent earlier this summer.

But Canadians are still going to be paying more at the supermarket, and that is still affecting the way Canadians shop for what they need at the grocery store.
