Customers are "savvy" and finding ways to alleviate the impact of the cost of living crisis, chair of Tesco, John Allan, has told Sky's Sophy Ridge on Sunday programme.

Speaking on trends he had seen from shoppers, Mr Allan said: "They're working very hard to find ways of alleviating the impact of rising food prices so they can trade down".
