At the public inquiry into the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shootings, RCMP constables Craig Hubley and Ben MacLeod gave powerful testimony about how they ended the gunman's killing spree.

The Mounties have come under intense criticism for how it responded to a gunman, disguised as one of them, who killed 22 people in April 2020. But the two constables who testified may have kept the tragedy from becoming more horrendous.

As Ross Lord reports, the officers described the memories that still haunt them, and the final moments of the gunman's life.
