RCAF helicopter crash: 2 missing soldiers found dead, defence minister confirms

Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand confirmed on Wednesday that two Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) members, who had been missing since a Chinook helicopter crashed into the Ottawa River near CFB Petawawa, were found dead.

Two other members injured in the crash were treated for minor injuries and have since been released.

The names of the deceased individuals are not being released at the request of their families.

The four-member crew was on a training mission when the Chinook helicopter they were in crashed.
