In memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Ottawa corgis marched with the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band on Sunday from Major's Hill Park to the Royal Display.

The Canadian tribute was due to Queen Elizabeth's adoration of animals, especially horses, cows, and, perhaps most of all, her corgis.

The queen owned more than 30 dogs — the majority of them, Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Following her passing, British media reported that Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, will look after the late queen's corgis.

And while her life was chock-full of impressive achievements and interests over the course of her 70-year reign, perhaps none was more enduring or long-spanning as her love for animals.
