Since 2010, when Qatar won the right to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Gulf nation has faced scrutiny about its treatment of workers involved in building stadiums for the tournament.
Organisers say their commitment to workers’ welfare has led to big improvements in living and safety standards.
