The foreign ministers of Qatar and Kuwait say there has been some progress made to resolve the Gulf crisis.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser al-Sabah says there have been “constructive and fruitful discussions” on efforts to achieve reconciliation in the Gulf crisis.
The foreign minister said on Friday that there was progress in resolving the dispute that has seen Saudi Arabia and its allies boycott Qatar since mid-2017.
Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani says he is hopeful things will move in the right direction but could not predict whether a breakthrough would fully resolve the standoff.
Qatar has been under a land, sea and air blockade by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Egypt since June 2017.
