In his latest interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia will not impose bans on any ‘foreign social media’ but would not hesitate to act if Western online giants are behind what he called ‘hostile actions.’ Speaking about recent protests in support of jailed opposition figure Alexey Navalny, the president said foreign powers are trying to weaponize frustration over falling living standards due to the COVID pandemic to stir up the rallies.
