Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a lengthy address at the World Economic Forum which, due to the pandemic, went digital this year. Among other statements, he stressed that it is important to move 'from general statements to actions' when it comes to reducing social and economic inequality, and drew parallels between the modern world and that of the 1930s, noting that 'the scale and complex systemic nature of the challenges' in current international relations pose similar threats.
