A Toronto man's flight home from Calgary quickly turned into a nightmare when he was denied boarding.

"Calgary is a nice city but it's not my home," he said, recalling the experience.

Ken Harrower relies on his electric wheelchair but was told by Porter Airlines he couldn't board without disconnecting the wheelchair's battery — which isn't possible without a technician.

"The pilot asked me some questions and after a few minutes, he said nope," Harrower told Global News.

As Adam MacVicar reports, this all happened after he called the airline to make sure his wheelchair wouldn't be an issue.
