The Prime Minister has said that a windfall tax on energy companies would discourage them to invest in infrastructure that may keep fuel costs low in the future.

Many have a called for the tax hike on fuel companies after some saw profits soar. BP almost doubled their profits in the first quarter of this year in comparison to the same period in 2021.
