Brazilian fans of football legend Pelé held hands and prayed for the star outside Saõ Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital on Sunday, after he had been hospitalized during his battle with colon cancer.
Ciro Santos, a father of two and supporter of Santos FC, which Pelé had played for, said he came to "pay him tribute so he recovers."
Pelé, 82, had been admitted earlier this week to re-evaluate his cancer treatment and put in end-of-life palliative care when it was determined his chemotherapy treatment did not have the expected outcome. His treatment had been suspended as a result.
