A vaccine developed by scientists at the University of Oxford appears set to transform the battle against coronavirus across the globe.
In initial trials the vaccine gave 70% protection against Covid but that could rise to as high as 90% by adjusting the dose. The UK government has already ordered 100 million doses of the vaccine.
While other vaccines have reported even higher protection the Oxford one is far cheaper - at around £3 per dose - and far easier to store, which is crucial for delivering it quickly and effectively around the world.
