The FBI, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the RCMP's National Cybercrime Coordination Unit
announced Tuesday that they've charged 31-year-old Matthew Filbert of Ottawa with various cybercrimes that included Ransomware and Malware attacks that also damaged a state of Alaska computer in 2018.
The announcement comes after a 23-month investigation into Canadian-based ransomware attacks on business, government and private personal data systems across North America.
