Like a scene out of the film "Dude, Where's My Car?" or " Ferris Bueller's Day Off," an Ontario man is speaking out after he took his car to a dealership for repair and was later notified by his insurance app that his car was being driven nearly 90 km away from the business.

Police found the car in the town of Woodstock, Ont. and discovered it wasn't stolen but driven there by a dealership employee and when he went for an explanation, he was blamed by the manager accusing him of tracking his employee illegally.

The Ontario man says he did not authorize the dealership's technician to drive his vehicle home and especially not a round trip of about 180 km. As Sean O'Shea reports, technicians do sometimes take vehicles home with permission to perform road tests for problems, but the car owner says he's taking the vehicle to another company for a fix but is concerned what the drive could mean for his insurance.
