Three workers at a Greek shipping company were killed Monday morning in Athens after a disgruntled ex-employee made an appearance at the office and shot them dead.

Before allegedly shooting himself dead, the 76-year-old gunman killed two men and a woman. One of the victims was the owner of European Navigation, according to police spokesperson Konstantina Dimoglidou.

Police, firefighters and paramedics quickly made their way to the scene as anti-terrorism forces stormed the building and evacuated workers from inside the building.

A relative of one of the deceased said the gunman walked in with a “rifle” and that his “father-in-law tried to disarm him” before being shot in the back.

The perpetrator was found dead with his weapon beside him. He was in a different area of the building than the deceased victims. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
