Northern Ireland: Stormont brake 'practically useless' - group of Brexit-backing MPs

The European Research Group (ERG) has said the Stormont brake, a key feature of the new agreement which aimed to resolve issues with the Northern Ireland Protocol, is "practically useless".

The chairman of the ERG, Mark Francois, said parts of the brake need to be "urgently discussed".

The group has not taken a collective decision on how to vote on the Stormont brake yet, but Mr Francois has revealed members will meet tomorrow to decide.
