Dozens of schools in Nigeria have been forced to close due to a series of mass kidnappings of students.
The incidents have ended the pursuit of education of many pupils, but some victims refuse to be scared off, and they are taking risks to chase their dreams.
One of the students kidnapped along with about 300 others from a boys' secondary school in the northwest spoke to Al Jazeera about how he is determined to pursue studies despite the dangers.
