As Canada lags behind its commitment to bring in 40,000 Afghan refugees, the NDP is now accusing Ottawa of losing 2,900 files of Afghans who worked with the Canadian military.

More than a month ago, senior officials of the Department of National Defence testified that they vetted 3,800 Afghans for their documents and forward them to immigration. Yet, only 900 were accepted.
