Despite many promises of help, thousands of Afghans who helped the Canadian Armed Forces are still stuck fearing for their lives one year after the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan.
Of the 40,000 refugees Canada promised to take in, just 17,000 have arrived since the armed group seized power on Aug. 15, 2021, with may saying they feel abandoned.
