Azeri President Ilham Aliyev said on Sunday that his country’s forces had taken Shusha, the second-largest city in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh enclave but Armenia says the fighting there is continuing.
Nagorno-Karabakh which is governed by ethnic Armenians, has been internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan.
Azeris nationwide celebrated the news, as the country had lost control of Shusha in 1992.

Al Jazeera’s Osama Bin Javaid reports from Baku, Azerbaijan.
