The Colombian government has issued a long-awaited public apology for the extrajudicial killings of 19 young men in the capital, Bogota.
During the conflict with FARC rebels, Colombian soldiers carried out more than 6,000 so-called "false positive" killings where innocent civilians were murdered by the military and made out to be fighters.
But a group of mothers fought for the truth about their children and are now being recognised.
Al Jazeera’s Alessandro Rampietti reports from Bogota, Colombia.
